I can honestly say this might be the only time McConnell and I agree. It can be argued that, this shows McConnell does have allegiance to our Constitution and our institutions. It could be argued that McConell was not for the criminality and unconstitutionality that the Trump administration perpetrated habitually. It could be argued.

Yet, just like so many on the inside, those closest to the inner workings of government and how Trump molested those rules and workings, they don’t have the courage to publicly come out and attest themselves. It always comes out in blurbs by reporters, authors and aides.

True courage is stepping in the line of fire, not worried how it will affect your political career. Standing up for your country because it’s right, not because it’s the direction your political affiliation is going. True courage is putting everything on the line to protect and defend your country and its principles, regardless of what may happen to you.

Am I happy to see that McConnell isn’t a seditionist like so many in MAGA. Sure. Doesn’t negate the fact he is a coward.

According to the words of Trump he may go after all of us who have spoken out against him, who have fought for the rights and freedoms this country bestows, who will not let our soul quietly be stolen from us in the night. I say to that. Find us.

Because we are everywhere, from the baker at your local coffee shop, the plumber making a service call, the IT person helping with a problem, the cashier at the gas station, those who manufacture our vehicles, deliver our packages, tend the fields, preach to a congregation, protect our streets, make the beds in our hotel rooms, who run our cities. We, the pro democracy movement are EVERYWHERE, unassuming and unrelenting.

If they do come after us I will see you there. We will be the backbone that so many lack. The voice of reason that so many have reasoned their way out of. For we are strength, the truth and the power of the United States.

We may be exhausted but our goal is within sight. Just have to keep up the fight.

Don’t give up my fellow Americans. Those who cherish the potential that this nation has written in to its founding documents. Too long have we let the forces of old and evil dictate our future. It’s time to make our stand. Because

Have Azmuth realise that for the omnitrix to not have such a big imprint of energy and be easily tracked by other aliens, they needed someone to wield it, to house it and hide it so that it would never be found. At first, one may think that it would be hard, knowing that all the planets know about this.

All... Except twisted wonderland and earth.

Entering Yuu, an earth peep that was kidnapped cow style by aliens and ended up rizzing their way through an entire fleet. This shrimp mf is brought to Azmuth and explains how earth is unsuitable because of government shit and also the fact that any alien activity would immediately be known on national TV or dragged straight to aera 51.

So twisted wonderland, as a planet with inhabitants that use magic, can easily bypass. This world had magic and was quite isolated, to the point no other alien species knew shit about how magic works or if there is any limit to it. It would be perfect!

So after intensive research, Yuu is deemed as the one who has to deliver the omnitrix. Of course, it was regulated so that Yuu won't be immediately attached to the watch after all.

In Riddle's case, Yuu presents themselves as a space scientist, with a bunch of PDAs and diplomas and whatnot. They were 'stationing' in the city, mostly to take someone for titulage. Of course, there was a 'test' that everyone who applied had to go through.

Of course, Mrs Rosehearts sees it as a great opportunity. A Scientist with such awards and shit who was willing to take an apprentice, was a stellar opportunity for her son. Not only will it leave her with more time to gain more prestige at her job, she would be assured Riddle would get absolute top education, while also keeping him away from those 'pesky poorly raised kids down the street'.

Of course, Riddle was absolutely bummed about it, since he was suddenly told that he will go and take a test and that if he passes, he would have to stay for years in the other side of the city with some scientist he never heard about.

Yuu's test, surely, was something that Azmuth designed. Something that would prove both mind and humility. And Riddle, who didn't want to pass it at all, manages to prove that he doesn't want that prestige he would have from being under Yuu's titulage, he just wanted home and to play with Trey and Che'nya after all.

This is what makes him pass. As such, Yuu doesn't question that this was a mf kid. Just give this insanely powerful device and let's get down to business. :'3

Now for Idia, Yuu presents themselves more straightforward. But because still, there had to be a trial and error, no one was getting their ass on the risk. Still, Yuu was kind(and a rizzler) and helped around with all the researches and everything.

Now, the Shroud brothers, being curious little kids, were absolutely amazed by this space mf. Yuu tells them all kinds of stories, how they rizzed a fleet and have like... 27 husbandos waiting for them back there or how they fought as a plumber or that one time they put their ass on Azmuth's printer and it was broadcast all over Galvan.

Basically Yuu becomes some sort of spiritual wine aunt. :'3

Hence why, they were there when the said tragedy day was. Thankfully being trained to deal with all kinds of aliens, for Yuu punting a Phanthom was pretty easy.

But the thing was that it wasn't Idia and Ortho ho wanted to sneak out, but someone Sneaking in. An alien from an enemy side managed to put the Cerberus system on sleep (for plot reasons, because I say so) So that's also when Idia and Ortho wanted to sneak out. If course, they first meet the alien, then came Yuu to the rescue.

But, of course, with a phantom on plan A and an alien on plan B, Yuu couldn't just pull on time until the Charons arrive.

But seeing as Ortho was took by a Phanthom, Yuu decides that yep, it's time to pull the omnitrix card. Idia had one hell of a field trip that day.

Still, Ortho doesn't survive unscratched. He was alive, but this time his arm was cut off, hence Idia made a robo arm to replace it. Still he blames himself for it and bears that guilt, but Yuu reassures that instead of just mulling over it, he could try to better himself and become someone that would make Ortho be proud of. Ya know... That positive encouraging. :3

Yep... Yuu as that very unfit mentor figure with 27 alien husbandos and a wine aunt at heart. That's how I like writing the general Yuu unfortunately. :'3

"Told with a modern sensibility, A SMALL LIGHT shakes the cobwebs off of history and makes Miep’s story feel relevant, forcing audiences to ask themselves what they would have done in Miep’s shoes; and in modern times, asking if they would have the courage to stand up to hatred. Some stood by, Miep stood up.” The powerful, eight-part limited series is produced by ABC Signature and Keshet Studios. “A Small Light,” an 8-part series, premieres Monday, May 1, at 9/8c on National Geographic with two back-to-back episodes The series stars Bel Powley as Miep and Liev Schreiber as Otto Frank. Anne Frank is portrayed by 17-year-old British actress Billie Boulet (“The Worst Witch,” “The Power”) and her older sister, Margot, is played by Ashley Brooke (“The White House Plumbers,” “Troop Zero”). Ashley shared during the Q&A that her own grandmother was a Holocaust concentration camp survivor. The opening episodes of the series build the character of Miep. “A Small Light” is the story of Miep Gies ; Born. Hermine Santruschitz. 15 February 1909. Vienna, Austria-Hungary (Now Austria) ; Died, 11 January 2010 (2010-01-11) (aged 100)in Hoorn, Netherlands. Miep was sent to Amsterdam from her native Vienna, Austria to be raised by the Gies family because her health was fragile. Her nuclear family felt it was in her best interests to relocate her to Amsterdam. There she could receive medical care and enjoy a generally better quality of life. She remained in Amsterdam for the rest of her life. Miep, as portrayed by Bel Powley (“The Morning Show,” “The King of Staten Island,” “White Boy Rick“) seems carefree and lighthearted and not that interested in either working or settling down. Her adopted family has conversations with her about the possibility of Miep marrying her adopted brother, to alleviate the hardship for the family as they continue to support Miep during war-time. This detail about Miep’s potential marriage to someone she regarded as her brother was factual. It was uncovered during research by show creators Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, a married couple. Miep's brother being gay, however, was a poetic license, based on the gay community’s fervent support for the Resistance in Amsterdam during WWII. The co-creators also shared that their extensive research for the series was all donated to the Anne Frank House/Museum at the end of filming. Joan arrived late for the Q&A due to flight delays. She explained that she and her husband were touring the Anne Frank home in Amsterdam. They became intrigued by the untold story of Miep Gies, the young woman who stepped up to help hide Otto Frank and his family when the Nazis invaded the Netherlands. The sets were exact recreations of the space in which the Franks hid; exterior shots of the street were filmed on location in Amsterdam. Miep is naïve about how bad things will become for Jewish residents of the Netherlands. (“Hitler won’t come here. We’re neutral.”) She is, at first, among those Dutch citizens who cannot believe that the Germans will invade their peaceful city and country. Others, who are more practical, are convinced that Hitler will, in fact, invade. May 10-15, 1940: The Queen fled to London and the Netherlands fell to the Nazis in five days. Miep is proven wrong in her optimistic belief that “all will be well.” She becomes very active in helping Jews go into hiding, not only helping the Franks build a secret hideaway above Otto’s Opetka office but also helping hide other Jewish families in the city. Once the Franks are in hiding, securing food for them will fall to Miep, and it is not an easy task since ration books are the order of the day. Miep, simultaneously, has a romance with a bookish young man named Jan, played by Joe Cole (“Peaky Blinders”). Jan tells Miep that he is actually already married to someone else, but just doesn’t have enough money to finalize the divorce. That was an odd beginning to their courtship. (His haircut was even odder.) Miep is shown ditching Jan at a club, as she initially found his bookish ways (he is reading Franz Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”) boring. Ultimately, the couple discover they have many shared interests and they become a couple. Jan is played by Joe Cole (“Against the Ice,” “The Ipcress File”). As the couple becomes more and more involved in the Dutch Resistance—Miep in their neighborhood and Jan banding together with like-minded co-workers (he is a social worker)—the couple works together to solve problems such as how to secure extra ration books in order to feed the nine people hiding in the upper area above Otto Frank’s Opetka offices, accessed via a fake bookcase. It falls to the efforts and goodwill and chutzpah of Good Samaritans such as Miep and Jan to hide and provide for the persecuted Jews. Miep hid the Franks for over 2 years. The Franks went into hiding on July 5, 1942. During that time, Miep was also helping hide other families. At one point, the Franks’ Jewish dentist, Dr. Pfeffer (Noah Taylor) must go into hiding with the Franks and their guests, and the Van Pels family also moves in. A line in the script, when husband Jan suggests that Miep should have shared her decision with him before saying yes to Otto Frank (Liev Schreiber with his hair shaved back to mid-pate), is, “I didn’t think I needed to consult you before agreeing to save someone’s life.” From the stage during the Q&A, Joan Rater shared with the audience that she and her husband (co-creator Tony Phelan, who directed 3 episodes and scripted others) have a son about the age that Miep was when she was asked to help hide the Franks. It was being in Amsterdam and thinking about the way in which their own son might react that was the genesis of the largely untold story of Miep Gies. POTENTIAL SPOILERS Most of us are familiar with “The Diary of Anne Frank.” Only Otto survived being imprisoned. Edith (the mother) died at Auschwitz. Anne and Margot were transferred to Birkenau and died there of typhus. As for Miep Gies, the focus of this film, she lived to be almost 101. When the Franks were arrested in August of 1944, possibly turned in by neighbors or by the cleaning person at Otto’s business, Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl were not arrested. Miep managed to excuse herself by saying she knew nothing of those in hiding. Miep and two others would rescue Anne’s diary before the Nazis cleared out the hiding place. They would eventually return the papers to Otto Frank. Anne’s father would see that Anne's writing was published (initially as “Diary of a Young Girl”). New episodes will debut every Monday at 9/8c and 10/9c on National Geographic and will stream the next day on Disney +.
